Your Accessible Web has redesigned the entire WomANDigital website, also making it the most accessible portal of the Junta de Andalucía of all.
A project characterized by its collaborative spirit that tries to achieve a paradigm shift in relation to gender equality in the sector, encouraging the involvement and participation of all possible agents.
What is WomANDigital?
WomANDigital is a project of the Digital Agency of Andalusia belonging to the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification of the Board.
This project pursues, as its main objectives, the promotion of gender equality, the increase in the participation and influence of women in new technological professions for the retention of digital and innovative talent in order to transform the Andalusian digital economy.
This is an Andalusian commitment to promoting gender equality in the ICT sector. The objective is to achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women within the 17 objectives included by the UN in its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, considered not only as “a fundamental human right” but also the necessary basis to achieve a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.
Furthermore, it is an initiative in constant movement, with a clear objective of raising awareness and information and the firm intention of facilitating and energizing citizen participation on the issue of the vocation and promotion of women in the ICT sector.
What is WomANDigital?
The European Union has been warning, since the 90s, about the problem of low participation of women in the digital era, both in access to information and communication technologies, and in the personalization of the sector.
WomANDigital acts as an observatory of the different situations of Andalusian women in the ICT sector, with the purpose of identifying the causes that cause the gender gap in this area.
An inequality caused by a series of factors that is summarized in the so-called ‘leaky pipeline’, which represents how women passively escape from STEM careers and ICT professions, due to the so-called barriers and obstacles.
Of those few girls who develop STEM vocations, many “leak” like water in a pipe due to various factors such as work-life balance, lower mobility, biases in selection processes, ceilings and a long etcetera so that, in the end, few reach decision-making positions.

Thanks to our work, we have managed to make the website faster, simpler in its contents and more accessible. In addition, our programming team has reprogrammed the portal, ensuring that its functionality is maximum.
Along with this, it is very important that everything that is done must be done around everything that is produced.
What is your level of accessibility?
At Your Accessible Web we have placed great emphasis on making this web project stand out for its high accessibility. For this reason, since its inception we have collaborated in the different phases of its development (design, programming and content layout).
In each of these phases, our team has met with those responsible and we have audited each of the issues that affect the process, thus ensuring that the result of each of them is an excellent level of accessibility.
Once the project was completed, we have carried out the last phase of the implementation of an accessible institutional portal. Here, we have prepared all the documentation related to compliance with Royal Decree 1112/2018.
In this phase, the accessibility review report (IRA) and the accessibility statement were carried out and published on the website.
