This year, the Government, through the Ministry of Digital Transformation, launched the ‘Digital Kit’ initiative. A project whose objective is to digitize small and medium-sized businesses and the self-employed. This initiative is a public aid program that aims to implement digital solutions so that you can evolve thanks to technology.
What does the ‘Digital Kit’ initiative present to us?
One of the conditions established by this initiative is that both web and e-commerce portals are accessible, that is, that they meet the minimum accessibility criteria. The Digital Kit establishes that the standard UNE-EN 301549:2022 be applied to each of the sites that are developed to have portals with an accessibility level of AA, at least.
It should be mentioned that the way to justify the accessibility of Digital Kit projects is through an Accessibility Review Report. This is available in the Accessibility Observatory, it is an Excel template in which you must write down the result obtained from each of the criteria of the revised standard (a total of 49).
The template must be correctly filled out since it will be the one that will be used in the justification of the project and where the result of the web or ecommerce accessibility analysis will indicate the compliance situation and the score obtained (from 0 to 10).
