Your Accessible Web has redesigned, 100%, the website of the Spanish Retinoblastoma Association (AER). During approximately two months of work, we have managed to make this portal fully accessible today.
What is Retinoblastoma?
Retinoblastoma is the most common primary malignant tumor in childhood and accounts for 10-15% of tumors diagnosed in the first year of life, being the third most common childhood cancer.
It occurs in approximately 1 in every 15,000-18,000 births, so in Spain 20-30 new cases are usually diagnosed per year.
That is why at Your Accessible Web we are proud to have modified this website so that its users, with visual impairment, can navigate in an accessible way.
What has been our role in the process?
Our work has consisted of auditing the entire website, preparing a report with the errors, improving them and making them accessible.
Our team has created a practically new website, compared to the previous one, and fully accessible and navigable with a keyboard, or other navigation assistance devices.
Web Accessibility puts at your disposal an expert team in terms of accessibility, made up of auditors and programmers, who will carry out a complete analysis of your web portals, and will ensure their adaptation to the level of AA-mandatory compliance, or will raise your digital platform to higher levels.
All web pages must be accessible to people with different abilities by Royal Decree 1112/2018. Implementation of accessibility in accordance with the WCAG 2.1 guidelines, along with actions, implementations and specific documentation for the Ministry.
At Your Accessible Web we aim to ensure that the portals are usable by the maximum number of people, regardless of their auditory, cognitive, neurological, physical and visual abilities, as well as the equipment used to access the content.
